Our new closet is in, with a three-panel flat door style that will become standard for the rest of the house as remodeling extends beyond this room.
The light fixture has been installed!
Our walls have been painted Simply White by Benjamin Moore. We really like this hue, as it’s not too stark white and has a lot of warmth in most spaces.
The right color for the trim and planked ceiling was an agonizing decision. When doing white, matching trim and walls is always a safe bet. But LP wanted something a little more out of the ordinary, and she kept coming back to saved photos of white walls with darker white on the trim. This is definitely not a mainstream treatment, but check out how pretty it is in these inspiration photos:
So, the decision was made to go with a darker trim, ceiling, and doors. It is called Ballet White (OC-9) by Benjamin Moore. We used their Advance paint in semi-gloss.
We did such a huge happy dance when the green paint finally said goodbye. With construction almost done, it’s time to start really finishing the furniture & decor part of the puzzle. That means we have a LOT of shopping left to do.
We will see you next week! Meanwhile, visit our fellow linking participants at Calling It Home.
